Fasting is an abstention from eating nutrients for a period of time for health and/or religious reasons. 

People have been practicing fasting for centuries. There are different beliefs according to people of different religions about fasting, but the latest research provided huge emphasis to fasting for the betterment of health and to avoid many diseases.

On the other hand, fasting is promoted by many physicians worldwide as it’s beneficial for health, especially to lose weight.

During fasting, the human body breaks down the use of glucose and carbohydrates. After a certain amount of time, the liver starts converting fats into energy due to the lack of carbohydrates in the body.

Fasting times

There is no specific time for fasting if you are fasting for health while in some religions there is a specific timeframe and holy months. In the case of health, anyone can fast according to one’s suitable time, but it should be easily manageable.

The best time for 24-hour fasting is to eat dinner and sleep till morning. As you wake up, keep busy with work and other activities so there are many chances that fasting will not disturb you till the fast breaks at night.

However, one may feel lazy after 8 hours because, after that time, the body enters the state of actual fasting.

What to eat after fasting?

It’s a common question for all the pro fasting people that what to eat after fasting?

After a few hours of fasting, the body needs energy which usually comes from carbohydrates.

So, it suggests that the products like vegetables, grains, dairy products, or Dried fruits are the best eatables to fulfill the necessary energy needs required by the human body.

The important thing to remember is that after a fast break, one should drink water and focus on food that is easy to digest.

Everybody knows about the previously easy food for one’s stomach to tolerate, so eating a heavy diet may cause stomach problems. Always start with something light.
